Vaporous like a cloud, Smoke the sweater wraps you in lightness: the smock stitch yoke creates a raised diamond pattern that catches the light with every movement.
Worked top down, in the round and seamlessly, the yoke is adorned with the smock stitch — a three-dimensional diamond pattern repeated every 5 rows, from the 5th to the 50th row, with an increasing number of stitches involved along the way. For an extra touch of sparkle, the smock stitch can be embellished with beads.
Before the division between sleeves and body, short rows shape the back taller than the front for an impeccable fit. The body is worked in the round in stockinette stitch, with the smock stitch pattern on the sides between the front and back panels. In the final section, front and back are worked flat separately to create the side slits. Videos and charts guide you through all the special techniques.
The pattern is available in 7 sizes, from XS to 3XL.
